First step when starting in the creation of a Client’s one-off unique Engagement Ring, is to source a range of Gemstones for the Client’s perusal. In this case the initial premise involved a central Sapphire flanked with Diamonds.

Once the Sapphire was chosen, in this case a fine blue Ceylonese Sapphire oval of over 1.5ct, the size and placement of the flanking Diamonds were dictated to a certain extent, by the size and form of the central Sapphire. In this case the decision was for two 3.5mm and four 3mm Diamonds, all F/G VS, .80ct total.
