Enamelled Silver from Morocco. These two discs are new, however the enamelling tradition in Morocco is ancient and seems to have its origins in the Berber tribes of the Anti-Atlas of southern Morocco. Traditionally the colours used in enamelling tend to be muted, ochres and non-bright greens.
The newer pieces such as in this pair are still made in the same western Anti-Atlas region, with the colours tending to be brighter.
