Coral French Silver ring, totally handcrafted circa 1930. A couple of French marks are stamped on the outside of the band around the rear. The stylized Art Nouveau motifs of leaves and tendrils are very similar to those popularized by Scandanavian jewellers of that period, but aside from the stamps, the Frenchness of the ring is indicated by the use of the gemstone Coral, and also by the Silver base on which the motifs and the Coral setting are fixed, for had it been of Scandanavian craft the motifs would sit free, without backing.
