Bright Ruby Small. Only 1.7mm round but a very nicely diamond-cut Bright Ruby, a genuine gemstone and despite its small size displaying an excellent red flash. Difficult to pin exactly the origin of the above Ruby but given present (as of 2025) world Roby trends, it probably originated in Africa, in either Madagaskar or Mozambique.
The little Bright Ruby is professionally bead-set in Sydney, the five neat setting “beads” scorped from the 9ct Gold centre star.
The solid 9ct Gold pendant itself is created and crafted in Sydney, design taken from an original Diamond-set Antique English tie-pin top of the mid-1800s, compact and restrained, and very cleverly modelled with its scalloped edging, raised star-centred setting platform, and the fine touch of “twist-wire” surrounding the centre raised face.
This lovely, interesting little pendant will give real enjoyment for many, many years, good to wear alone on a simple slim Gold chain, or together with another pendant; it will not lose its charm. And it will be quite difficult to damage, for though the pendant is small, it is sturdily crafted, and the gemstone setter responsible for the bead-setting is a Sydney master setter.
