Ball Earstuds of solid 9ct Gold; very simple, and very useful; not exactly round, very comfortable to wear. And not hollow, as this type of earring almost always is, in the rather desperate effort to keep the weight of the Gold used to a minimum, presuming, of course, that there is Gold involved and the item is not plated base metal, increasingly the case as of late 2025.
The last time these plain Ball Earstuds were put up on the site was around beginning 2022. They were priced at a little over $300, with the 9ct Gold “butterfly” post clips included in that price. At the time there were a few pairs of these useful solid 9ct Gold earstuds in stock, but they sold, at the same price, one pair after the other, until finally another pair needed to be crafted, at current world Gold prices. Gold has risen in price well over 100% since the beginning of 2022.

The “butterfly” post clips shown in the end images in the above image gallery are handmade, solid 9ct Gold, crafted in Jaipur, the pair weight 0.6 grams. Their inclusion adds $90 to the cost. A pair of Italian imported 9ct Gold “butterflies”, adequate, weighing about 0.3 grams the pair, would cost around the same.
