This matched pair of teardrop Garnet cabochons have their origin in India, dating back around forty years to the early 1980s. Top quality garnets such as these two gemstones are now, in the early 2020s, difficult to source, and costly. In Sydney, if a pair such as these could be found, they could easily cost, trade-price, $60 and more the pair.
This pair was cut from the rough, and polished, in Jaipur Rajasthan in the early 1980s.
