The design of four segments fanning out from a square central setting, round and slightly convex, has its source in an English Gold tie pin top of the early 1800s, originally set with five darkly adamantine old cut Diamonds, definitely not of the sparkle of the above Diamonds. The rucking of the surface of the four segments, hand-worked by the master gem setter, is an old European art to enhance glitter.
2.6 grams of 9ct White Gold in the pair, not heavy in weight, easy to wear. The earhooks, handmade in Sydney, are quite secure, with the elegant length, and the gem-set rondels hanging from them are very well articulated, allowing for easy movement and a constant sparkle.
