Adaptable Gemstone & Silver. The entire two-gemstone pendant construct can be removed from the slim curb link Silver chain, used on another chain, either the Amethyst on its own, or the old Carnelian, with its Silver chain links, as a longish drop on something, or the slim Silver chain, an elegant length, really, at 56cms, could be worn simply as is, or used to carry another pendant or two.
The two good-sized Silver “parrot” spring clasps do, of course, have all sorts of uses.
The two gemstone pendants above make for an interesting contrast, the opaque Carnelian bead being ancient, excavated decades ago from a dig in North Afghanistan in an area known as Bactria in the time of Alexander the Great, the tear-shaped Amethyst being newly-cut, of Brazilian origin. Both these gemstones are natural and untreated, good examples of their types, both in their natural base colours and in the natural inclusions of each.
