In the case of the above earstuds, more of the White Gold setting edge was pushed over one of the Rubies than over the other, thereby not only creating a slight mismatch across the top, but also slightly darkening the presentation of that Ruby’s colour.
Note that this mismatch is genuinely slight, and that the high quality of the Ruby gemstones still shines out obviously. Note also that, really, the slight difference between the presentation of these two earstuds is not discernible when they are worn.
Certainly, at half price these Sydney-crafted solid 9ct Gold earstuds, set with .26ct African Rubies, represent excellent value.
