1880s Silver link bracelet, English Antique handmade chain engraved one side each link, plain polished the other; originally this chain was part of Victorian type of link necklace created with a larger than normal bolt ring spring clasp from which to hang a keepsake locket.
This type of handmade Silver chain is given the name of “collar”, for they were usually made to sit quite high on the neck; they are, of course, increasingly rare after the passing of 130 odd years of wear and tear, but when there is enough intact chain for the creation of a bracelet, as here, the result is fine for it was always created to sit nice and flat.
