These two gemstones, Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli, have been appreciated since ancient times, and the sources of these gemstones now are the same as four thousand years ago: the Khorasan region of north-east Persia for Turquoise, and, about four days serious driving east, the north-east corner of Afghanistan for Lapis.
The little Turquoise beads handcut in Khorasan, the Lapis discs handcut in Peshawar. All four beads natural colour, undyed, untreated.
