Classic English handmade clip bangle, Sterling Silver with 9ct Rose Gold butterflies and petals amidst the finely engraved leaf motif.
Hallkmarked Birmingham in the year 1962. In very good condition.
Originally, in the early 1900s, this type of clip bangle was hollow; this inevitably led to dings and knocks, virtually impossible to remove or make good. By the 1950s, 1960s, this type of clip bangle, still made hollow, was always wax-filled. This piece is wax-filled and is so stamped.

Slightly ovoid in shape, 60x57mm interior measurements. Uniform 13mm width, 3mm thickness.
