Small handcut Lapis Lazuli discs, deep blue semi-polished Afghani origin, hung with old Tribal Silver discs from West India circa 1950s, in a pair of interesting distinctive earrings, created in Sydney on hand-worked Silver twist wire, handmade Silver earhooks.

Silver discs 18mm across, Lapis discs approx 8mm; light in weight, 50mm total eardrop length.

These plain Tribal Silver discs from west India circa mid 1900s were created to be worn in multiples as hanging adornments on apparel, especially on headdresses. Silver content is quite high, probably coin Silver so close to 925, and would have been a sign of wealth, of prestige.
